Mid Range FAQ

How capable off-road is the Mid Range?

The Mid Range is designed for light and moderate off-roading — dirt, gravel, forest roads, and mild trails — thanks to a 3,500 lb torsion axle, 15″ wheels, 29″ all-terrain tires, and 16.5″ of ground clearance. For rougher terrain, step up to the Mid Range XL or Extreme Off Road.

What can tow a Mid Range?

With a 2,900 lb GVWR and average built weights of 1,450–1,725 lbs, most mid-size and full-size SUVs and trucks can tow it. Check your vehicle’s rated towing capacity to confirm.

Which size should I choose?

The 5′×8′ is the lightest, the 5′×9′ is the most popular balance of space and weight, and the 5′×10′ offers the most room. All three share the same 2,900 lb platform and standard features.

How is it built and where?

Every Mid Range is hand-built to order in the USA. Because each trailer is custom, your final spec and price are confirmed when you configure your build with a Hiker trailer expert.
